eSign Server certificate is a digital signature, which serves to identify a publicly accessible server or Web site on the Internet and ensures secure communication with it. The certificate shall be issued to the owner of the server after identification and shall indicate the person who administers it. With eSign Server certificate you provide consumer confidence in your server or Web site and guarantee the security of information exchange with it.

Electronic signature  for legal entities

eSign for legal entities is a qualified electronic signature certificate (QES), which is issued to a legal entity as a Holder and as an Author, which is entitled to a represent a legal entity. The certificate contains the entity individual information, such as company name, address and ID information on the individual who is entitled to be registered as an author and to create digital signatures with full name, address, ID number and email address.

Documents required for issuing eSign for legal entities

In order to get eSign for legal entities issued it is necessary to visit the Office of Registration Authority and present the following documents:

• ID of the author (original and certified copy of the author) to be entered in the certificate representing such entity
• Document for court registration of the legal entity (an original and a certified copy of the Owner)
• Document registration identification number (VAT number) (original and certified copy of the Owner)
• A certificate of good standing of the entity issued within one month of filing for certification service (original and certified copy of the Owner)
• Document of empowerment of the author with authority of the Owner, in case the basis for empowerment is not contained in the other documents on the status of the Holder
• Notarized authorization of the applicant for certification services, in case the holder authorizes a representative other than the author to request said certification services/div>

Questions and answers

Is it possible to use Electronic Signatures issued abroad in Bulgaria?

The only qualified electronic signatures on the territory of Bulgaria are those issued by service providers accredited by CRC, according to the Law on Electronic Document and Electronic Signature Act.

What documents do I need to get to eSign for legal entities?

The documents required for issuing eSign for legal entities: a copy of the identity document of the person who will be listed in the certificate as an author, a copy of the identity document of the legal representative of the legal person power of attorney empowering the Author, certificate of condition and completed Application for Issuance of eSign Certificate for QES for legal entities.

Can the signed documents be modified?

Electronic documents signed by eSign Certificate for QES can not be modified. Any attempt to modification leads to an error when reproducing the document.
